《世界针灸杂志》（英文版）创刊于1991年，是由国家中医药管理局主管，世界针灸学会联合会、中国中医科学院针灸研究所和中国针灸学会联合主办的国家级针灸学术期刊。《世界针灸杂志》全世界发行，同期发行意大利文版（ISSN 1003-5257, CN 11-2892/R）。《世界针灸杂志》目前被科睿唯安（原汤森路透） Emerging Sources Citation Index（ESCI）数据库、爱思唯尔Science Direct数据库、Scopus数据库、中国科学引文数据库（CSCD）核心库和CNKI数据库收录，是中国科技核心期刊，可在Web of Science 中查询，与SCI源刊同路径检索与下载。
《世界针灸杂志》以推进我国针灸在国际上的广泛传播为宗旨，以提高我国针灸界在国际上的学术地位为目的，以全面反映国内外优秀的针灸研究成果为任务，努力挺进国际著名科学文献数据库。创刊30年来，不断努力，打造国际化精品期刊。据“中国知网”统计报告，《世界针灸杂志》已经进入10个国家和地区的著名机构的图书馆，其高端客户包括香港大学、澳门大学、香港中文大学、台中荣民总医院、台湾中国医药大学、哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、澳大利亚国家图书馆、法国国防部、牛津大学、韩医研究院、庆熙大学、日本国会图书馆、新加坡国家图书馆等。为了能够向国际医学界准确反映我国的针灸研究成果，本刊特别欢迎针灸机制研究、临床研究、理论研究等原始研究论著，尤其欢迎各级各类课题文章，同时也接受针灸治疗各科疾病的经验及疗法介绍、古今针灸名家经验介绍、各种疑难杂症的案例等。来稿须附单位证明信，课题资助项目请于文题页下方注明。中、英文投稿均可（英文投稿需附汉语稿件），欢迎投国外期刊未被录用的文章转投本刊。为了提高本刊的翻译质量，中文来稿一旦通过审理，将由我部延请专家统一代为翻译，英文稿件由母语专家统一译审。稿件发表后，向作者赠送2本当期杂志。

In 1991, World Journal of Acupuncture-Moxibustion（A journal Following the ICMJE Recommendations）, as a prestigious academic journal in English version for Acupuncture-Moxibustion (ISSN: 1003-5257; CN: 11 -2892/R), was created by the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies in Beijing, China. It is co-organized by the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Over the past 20 years, it has been striving to build an international fine periodical with the strong commitment to “presenting acupuncture research results, exchanging clinical acupuncture experience, instructing physicians for clinical practices and improving scientific acupuncture research to a higher level and promoting the growth of acupuncture throughout the world”. According to the statistics from CNKI ( China National Knowledge Infrastructure ), World Journal of Acupuncture-Moxibustion has made its way into more than 10 libraries of well-known institutions from 10 countries and regions, and its high-end clients include University of Hong Kong, Macau University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, China Medical University, Harvard University, Yale University, National Library of Australia, the French Defense Ministry, Oxford University, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Kyung Hee University, National Diet Library of Japan, National Library Board Singapore and so on. In 2012, World Journal of Acupuncture-Moxibustion gained its presence in ELSEVIER. Meanwhile, it’s submitting applications to MEDLINE and SCI.
